Graduation Cakes
Boston Red Sox Graduation
The recipient of this cake may have been raised a New Yorker, but she's a Red Sox fan at heart! Sculptured "jersey" with her last name and graduation year was the main cake. A sculptured Red Sox hat was also added to complete the set. Its realistic look fooled many party goers as well!
Spring Fling Graduation
This graduation can was inspired by a Colette Peters design. Gumpaste ribbon flowers and swirls were added in various colors to give this cake a touch of fun! A gumpaste graduation cap and the graduate's name completed the look.
Funky Floral Graduation
Buttercream version of my "Spring Fling Graduation". Ribbon gumpaste flowers and graduate's name down the front.
Polka Dot Graduation
This fun and festive cake was for a very special graduate! School colors were green and white, but a little touch of pink and some pearl swirls gave it the girly touch it needed! A gumpast graduation cap and the graduates name were added to bring the look together.
Finally!
A double major meant double the work! The recipient of this graduation cake wanted to reflect both majors as well as a touch of fun with a message for her dad, telling him she finally did it! Both books and graduation cap were all cake, covered in fondant with fondant and royal icing details.
You've Come A Long Way, Baby!
There's no better way to celebrate the accomplishments of a recent graduate, then to remember the steps in life she took to get there. Each tier of this buttercream scrolled cake represents each important step in her life - birth, childhood, adolesence, teen years, and finally her graduation from college. Each statue is surrounded by pink gumpaste roses and hydrangeas. The ribbon was made from fondant with gold painted royal icing lettering.
